Furniture and Decoration Program, quality education and training provision at the national and international levels,, especially Bartın, all businesses that operate in the sector to raise awareness of the sector, was founded with the goal of cultivating appropriate to the needs of expert technical personnel.

Purpose

:

The aim of Bartın University, Bartın Vocational High School, Furniture and Decoration Program is to train qualified labour forces who are capable of decorating the areas of life using technological wood and wood-derived building materials; who are skillful at decorating high qualify furnitures, which are designed according to ergonomic standarts, in a way to ensure that production and marketing would be most appropriate; who are needed by enterprises in section.

Target

:

Our main target in Furniture and Decoration Program is to give quality training and education at national and international level; to raise awareness of among the enterprises in the sector (primarily in Bartın); to train technical staff in accordance with the needs of sector specialists . To achieve our target, our students are trained; -To have sufficient background; and basic and practical knowledge and skills -To be aware of workplace accidents and know where and how to use machines in the most appropriate and efficient way. -To know furniture design, furniture styles, the art movements which influenced the past and the following design tendency; to analyze costs and design furniture by using ergonomics -To identify the equipments used in sector -To take responsibility as a member of a team -To be conscious of lifelong learning, capable of making research -To use design and production-related computer software effectively

Acceptance Requirements

:

Prospective students with a high school diploma receive their scores from the YGS exam center is placed by OSYM.

Graduation Requirements

:

Students who successfully complete all compulsory courses specified in the course plan and the minimum number of elective courses required; complete 120 ECTS credits and have a minimum CGPA of 2.00/ 4.00 will graduate.

Degree

:

Furniture and Decoration Program Associate Degree.

Transition

:

Furniture and Decoration Program Students who graduate from the Vertical Jump Test (DGS) are able to continue with formal education program.

Employement Opportunities

:

Students who graduate, woodworking and furniture industry all companies involved in the project, marketing, sales, production, quality control, production planning and R & D units can work.  In addition, by setting up their own businesses manufacturing, marketing, consulting, design, project and can work in decoration. Studied their earnings to the type of organization, working to position the company's remuneration policy and can be changed according to the city.

The students studying in the program, at least 2.00 Cumulative Grade Point Average of 4.00 in order to graduate and be accessible to all the courses prescribed in the curriculum should be achieved with the minimum DD. a minimum of 120 ECTS to be acquired for graduation. Students complete their compulsory internship in a specified time is mandatory.
